Johana is a master’s student at the Department of Experimental Botany at Charles University and is interested in different ecological aspects of mycorrhizal symbioses. She is currently doing research for her master’s thesis at the Institute of Microbiology under supervision of Petr Kohout. In the thesis she is set to describe the consequences of expanding ericoid shrubs on the soil chemistry and microbiome in an alpine grassland. Other than that, she is also a track and field athlete and tries to find some form of symbiosis between sport and academia.
