Honza is a former phycologist who joined the lab in 2024. Prior to that, he focused on the ecophysiology of green conjugating algae, the role of their phenolic secondary metabolites, and Raman microspectroscopy at the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University. In the lab, Honza is a supportive team member, assisting others with their projects through molecular biology techniques and fungal cultivation. Outside of science, he loves traveling in Italy and Greece, playing board games, and diving into fantasy worlds through tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons.
